Our Newport nursery is set within the beautiful grounds of the historic Castle House Preparatory School in central Newport.
The nursery features an all weather outdoor classroom, forest school, activity studio and sensory garden. Our staff deliver well balanced, playcentred planning with a wide variety of practical activities and experimental learning. The daily routine offers a combination of child initiated, learner led and staff directed activities all of which help children to develop mentally and socially. During the ‘Educational hour’ children learn phonics, letter formation, French and ICT skills. In addition, weekly routines consist of gym, dance, singing and forest school which are all delivered by specialist teaching staff.

At Castle House Nursery School we charge a registration fee of £50.
On confirmation of your place we require a deposit of £200 which is discounted off your first months fees.
Minimum attendance is 3 sessions however priority is given to full days.
If no places are available then you may join our waiting list and we will inform you should a place become available.
FUNDING
Early years free entitlement (15 hours) is Government funding which pays for up to 570 hours/year of free education to all 3&4 years olds in England from the term after their third birthday. This covers 15 hours per week. Parents may be able to access an additional 15 hours provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
HOURS
We are open from 8.00am – 6pm
We are open 51 weeks a year however this excludes bank holidays.
Castle House Nursery School closes for one week between Christmas and New Year.
